Costa Rica!  What a beauty!  We just came home and since I live in the Northeast where the winter cold just does not want to leave us, I find myself longing for the dry, 95 degree days.  I fell in love with this country.  The beauty is everywhere.  The people are so friendly and I have never seen such a clean environment.  We stayed on the Pacific coast in the Guanacaste region.  It is dry season now, so we spent 10 days enjoying the sun and warmth.  The beach we were on is Playa Flamingo and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.  I can see why.  The sands are so pure without any rocks, seaweed or shells.  It is just pure sand and warm water.  The sunsets were the most beautiful I have ever seen.  Just before sunset our resort would play a calming flute music which would draw people to the beach.  We would all just stand there and watch the colors of the vanishing sun while the music played in the background.  Magical!  We took a few tours, one being a 17 hour trip to Arenal Volcanic National Park.  This rain forest is so stunning and I wish I could go back and spend more time.  If you ever go to Costa Rica, I highly recommend staying in this area at least for a few days.  All in all, we saw at least a little of everything.  The wildlife, the lush flora, beautiful beaches, a coffee plantation, as well as sugar cane, watermelon and canteloupe plantations.  Of course my husband and I always had our cameras with us.  Here are a few examples.  If you would like to see more, please go to my home page.  Click the Fine Art 2 drop down and you will see Costa Rica.  To enjoy the full experience, click "slideshow" and turn up your speakers.  Pura Vida!
